The increasing trend toward network automation using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions is undeniable. However, current major reference network architectures do not natively incorporate all mechanisms required for Network Intelligence (NI). This paper introduces a novel architecture, proposed within the EU-funded DAEMON project, which includes a Network Intelligence Plane (NIP) designed to natively integrate NI into network operation, management, and orchestration procedures. This is achieved by analyzing gaps in existing architectures and designing a Network Intelligence Orchestration (NIO) that manages crucial NI-related mechanisms such as lifecycle management, coordination, and data management.
