On the Integration of AI/ML-based scaling operations in the 5Growth platform

Abstract

The architecture and initial prototype of the 5Growth platform are presented, which integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for network service auto-scaling. This work focuses on enabling automated assurance of vertical service level agreements (SLAs) within 5G networks by incorporating AI/ML into the management and orchestration (MANO) stack. The paper details how the 5Growth platform leverages AI/ML to make network service auto-scaling decisions, outlining modifications to ETSI network service descriptors and the integration of a data engineering pipeline for real-time data gathering and model execution.
